Ms. Briceno-Velasco obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Santa Barbara ("UCSB") in 1998 with a degree in Political Science. While at UCSB, Ms. Briceno-Velasco was a student body representative. Ms. Briceno-Velasco obtained her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in December, 2003. She was admitted to the California State Bar in June, 2004 and has been practicing law over four years in both state and federal court, including the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal where she obtained a published opinion entitled, Papakosmas v. Papakosmas (2007) 483 F.3d 617. Currently, Ms. Briceno-Velasco dedicates the majority of her time practicing family and probate law. Ms. Briceno-Velasco has a published opinion in the California Court of Appeal in the case entitled, Melendrez v. Melendrez (2006, 2nd District) 140 Cal.App.4th 96. Ms. Briceno-Velasco enjoys spending time with her family, friends, traveling and snowboarding.
