I am pro-active in trying to change our immigration laws. Every year I travel to Washington, D.C. to lobby members of the Senate and House of Representatives about important immigration issues.
I served as the Past Chair of the State Bar of California Immigration and Nationality Law Advisory Commission, Past Chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Assn. Southern California Chapter, Past Chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Assn. Immigration Law Section and serve currently on their Executive Committee, and currently serve on the Los Angeles County Bar Assn. Litigation Section Inn of Court Executive Committee.
Have lectured for various groups about Immigration and Nationality Law, lecture bi-annually for the Los Angeles County Bar Assn. Immigration Law Training Course sponsored by the Immigration Legal Assistance Project, Co-chaired various American Immigration Lawyers Assn. conferences, most currently served as a Day Coordinator for the American Immigration Lawyers Assn.'s Fundamentals Conference in Anaheim, CA., in 2008.
Mentor newer lawyers in the field of immigration law and set up networking groups for immigration lawyers in the Los Angeles area for the Los Angeles County Bar Assn. Immigration Law Section.
