Norma Nogueda obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Mills College in 1998. While at Mills her major was Comparative Literature, a critical scholarship dealing with the literature of two linguistic, cultural or national groups. Her focus was English and Spanish.
Ms. Nogueda obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2002. While there she interned for two summers at Ayuda, Inc, located in Washington D.C. Ayuda is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the legal rights of immigrants.
Ms. Nogueda was born in Mexico City, Mexico and immigrated to the United States as a child. Largely due to her immigrant background, she is primarily interested in immigration law. She is fluent in Spanish.
